I spent years working in high-performance environments, genuinely loving the intellectual challenge while quietly burning out. I had every marker of “success” and was progressively more disconnected from anything that actually mattered to me.
I took time away to Costa Rica. I planned to rest.
I didn’t expect to be completely remade.
Something happens when you spend real time in a living, biodiverse jungle. Your nervous system recalibrates. Your sense of priority reorders itself without effort. The silence isn’t uncomfortable — it’s clarifying.
I trained in neuroscience and coaching to understand why the experience had been so powerful. I returned to Costa Rica. I built Tropical Minds because I couldn’t not — and because I wanted to create for others what the jungle had created for me.
